Abdul Lateef Khan

 
Born in 1930 in Gauhad, Madhya Pradesh, Abdul Lateef Khan received his initial training in Sarangi from his father Ustad Chhote Khan of the Gwalior gharana. He was later a student of Ustads Haddu Khan, Sikandar Khan, Bade Ghulam Sabir Khan Ambalewale and other eminent musicians.

A performer of distinction, Abdul Lateef Khan is proficient both as accompanist and soloist on the Sarangi. A teacher at Ustad Allauddin Khan Akademi, Bhopal, Abdul Lateef Khan has been on the staff of all India Radio since 1957. He also plays the Sitar, Santoor, Tabla and Pakhawaj.
