With a performing career of over ten years, Sangeeta Dash has established herself as an outstanding representative of the Deba Orasad ‘bani’ of Odissi. A leading dancer of Orissa, she has performed extensively in the state and has participated in several major festivals including the Khajuraho festival, the Konark festival, the Soorya festival and dance festivals organized by Sangeet natak Akademi. She is also a noted actress in Oriya films.

Sangeeta Dash has received a fellowship from the Department of Culture, Government of India, and the Sanskriti Samman of Delhi.
