Priyadarshini Govind
A
notable dancer of the younger generation, Priyadarshini Govind received
training in Bharatnatyam from Swamimalai K.Rajarathnam and Kalanidhi
Narayanan. Since her arangetram in 1974, she has been performing on
the concert circuits of Madras and in major cities of India. She has
participated in the Festival of India in France in 1985 and has travelled
to several countries abroad. Her other notable appearances include the
Khajuraho Festival of Dance and Yuva Utsav, Sangeet Natak Akademi’s
festival of young dancers (1987).
Priyadarshini Govind has been acclaimed by connoisseurs for her evocative and intense abhinaya.
