Sabri Khan

Born in 1927 in Moradabad, Shri Sabri Khan was trained in Sarangi by his father Ustad Chhajju Khan of the Senia gharana of Rampur Moradabad.

Proficient both as soloist and accompanist, Sabri Khan has performed with most of the eminent vocalists of India and Pakistan in the past four decades. A frequent broadcaster, he has been on the staff of All India Radio since 1942. He has performed in concerts and festivals in Europe, the United States and the Soviet union.

Shri Sabri Khan was honoured with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Hindustani instrumental music in 1986.
